The college of teacher education Vaikom, Kerala is a reputable institution dedicated to the professional training of teachers. CTE Vaikom operates under the auspicious of the centre for professional and advanced studies(CPAS) , am autonomous institution established by the Government of Kerala plays a crucial role in the management and administration of the college. Affiliated with Mahatma Gandhi University, Kottayam and recognized by the National Council of Teacher Education(NCTE)
The CTE Vaikom offers a Bachelor of Education (B.Ed) programme , rigorous two year course designed to equip aspiring teachers with the necessary skills and knowledge for effective teaching. The college proudly present a diverse and enriching academic experience, offering five distinct optional subjects of study . Malayalam, Physical Science , Natural Science, Social science and commerce with an annual intake of 50 students.
The college is now in possession of a hall with a 300 seating capacity and a seminar hall with 150 seats, well furnished Library, Educational Technology laboratory, computer lab with internet access, science lab, social science lab, arts and craft room, supw room, music room, 5 classrooms, principal room, administrative office room, faculty room, store room, girls common room and sufficient no of toilets.
The college plays a vital role in shaping the future of education in the region. The college ensures personalized attention and a high quality educational experience.
